Delete your account
Two routes, one outcome. Both permanently delete your QMate account and the personal data attached to it.
From inside the app
- Open QMate and go to Account.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Confirm. You will be asked to re-authenticate.
This is the fastest route and needs nothing from us.
By email
Write to support@qmate.com from the email address on your account, with the subject Account deletion request, and include your QMate handle.
We verify the request is really from you, then delete the account within 30 days and confirm by email.
What gets deleted
- Your profile — handle, picture, languages, and your bio.
- Your contact details — email address and phone number.
- For gamers: your packages, availability, storefront and rank verification material.
- Your favourites, your squad, and your message history.
- Device and diagnostic data linked to your account.
What we have to keep
A small amount of data survives deletion because the law or an open obligation requires it. Where that happens we keep the minimum and detach it from your profile:
- Financial records — booking, payment and payout records, kept for the period accounting and tax rules require.
- Open disputes — evidence relating to a dispute that has not been resolved.
- Safety records — where an account was removed for a serious breach, enough to stop the same person signing up again.
- Reviews you left — these stay on the other person's profile, anonymised.
Before you delete
- Settle open sessions. A booking that is still running or awaiting confirmation should be closed out first.
- Gamers: wait for your payout. Available earnings pay out in the weekly Monday batch. Deleting before then complicates getting paid.
- It cannot be undone. There is no recovery window and no way to restore a deleted account.
Just want a break?
You do not have to delete anything to stop receiving requests. Gamers can go offline from the home screen, which stops all incoming bookings and leaves everything else intact.
