1. Who we are
QMate operates a marketplace, available as a mobile application, where customers book gaming sessions with other players. This policy explains what personal data we handle and why. Questions go to support@qmate.com.
2. What we collect
You give us:
- Account details — email address or phone number, a handle, and a profile picture if you add one.
- Profile information — the languages you speak, and for gamers the games you sell, your packages and your availability.
- Rank verification material — screenshots or account references submitted when a gamer applies to sell a game.
- Anything you write to us, and anything you write in a report or a dispute.
Created by using QMate:
- Bookings, sessions, check-in timestamps, completions, cancellations and disputes.
- Payment records — amounts, fees and status. Card details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored by QMate.
- Reviews and ratings you leave or receive.
- Device and diagnostic data — device model, operating system version, and crash reports.
3. Why we use it
- To run the marketplace — matching customers with gamers, taking payment, and paying gamers out.
- To settle disputes — check-in timestamps and session records are kept as evidence, which is the whole reason we record them.
- To verify ranks — an administrator reviews submitted proof before a gamer may sell.
- To keep people safe — reviewing reports and removing accounts that break the rules.
- To meet legal and tax obligations — payout records in particular.
4. What other people can see
Your handle, profile picture, verified rank, languages, packages and review history are visible to other users. Your email address, phone number and payment details are not.
5. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data. We share what is necessary with the service providers who make the product work: our payment processor, our hosting and database provider, and our analytics and crash-reporting tools. Each handles data on our instructions. We also disclose data where the law requires it.
6. Where it is stored
Data is held on servers operated by our hosting provider, which may be outside Lebanon. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it, though no system is perfectly secure.
7. How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account is open. Booking, payment and payout records are kept longer where accounting and tax rules require it, and dispute evidence is kept for as long as the dispute could reasonably be revisited.
8. Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion is described on the account deletion page. Some records survive deletion where we are legally required to keep them; where that happens we keep the minimum and unlink it from your profile.
9. Children
QMate is not intended for children under 13, and users under 18 need the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will remove it.
10. Changes
We will update this page when our practices change, and change the date at the top. Material changes will be announced in the app.
